Andrius Tapinas is a Lithuanian media personality who is prolific in using his soft power in political communications. In 2016, he founded Laisvės TV which started as a Patreon-funded Youtube channel but since became Laisvės Media Group, which makes political and entertainment content through multiple Youtube channels, organises fundraising campaigns (such as „Laikykitės, medikai!“ and „Radarom“), broadcasts party primary debates and is now also a bookpublishing company. Tapinas also organises direct political actions against incumbent politicians, such as holding a protest outside Seimas demanding the resignation of MP Mindaugas Bastys, or coordinating media campaigns urging voters to unseat MPs from Electoral Action of Lithuanian Poles and mayor of Kaunas Visvaldas Matijošaitis. In 2023, Tapinas started a campaign called „Skaidrinam“ which checked work expense reports of members of municipal councils and led to tens of criminal cases for corruption.
